My name is Andy Proctor, and I was enlisted in the U.S. Navy for 8 years and the Army Guard before that. Yeah, I went to Army basic training and Navy boot camp all in one year. It wasn’t one of the better years I’ve had! In the Navy I made two Western Pacific deployments on a couple of different aircraft carriers, and then I was a job counselor working with Navy recruits.
I got out of the military to go to school, and since then I’ve gotten several degrees and started two businesses. I also started investing when I was in the Navy, and I’ve been doing that for more than 30 years.

The first business I started was in affordable housing finance and development consulting. But I’ve thought for a very long time that in working in affordable housing, I wasn’t doing enough for people to change their own lives, so they could avoid the need for affordable housing in the first place. That’s why I started financial coaching. I believe that money should never be the thing that holds you back from your goals. It should be the thing that helps you achieve them!
