You’re probably on this website for one of a couple of different reasons: You’re in the military or a vet and you’re looking for a helping hand on how to transition to the civilian world; you’re trying to get hold of your finances; or you’ve been trying to build a wealth management strategy and it hasn’t been working out the way you’ve hoped it would.

And I know that you’re price conscious. You should be! That’s why I’ve included several different ways to work with me. Starting with free. Here are the ways to work with me.

Weekly Blog and Facebook Posts

Subscribe to my blog and Facebook posts. Updated weekly, these will include personal finance articles and useful tips that you can use right away. There might even be a book review now and then. And sorry to expose a personal pet peeve, but I promise I’ll never call these “hacks.”

Five Tips In Prep For Your Transition From The Military

If you’re still in the military and thinking about getting out, my Five Tips In Prep For Your Transition From The Military is a free paper I think you’ll find useful. It includes tips on getting hold of your finances, plus money savings tips that can give you a big financial safety cushion by the time of your military separation. It also includes tips that may help your peace of mind as you make that big transition. You can get a copy of Five Tips In Prep For Your Transition From The Military by clicking here.

Financial Coaching

Whether you’re currently in the military or a Vet, or you’ve never been in the service, money can represent a serious life challenge. Instead, I think money is a resource that should be a tool for you to achieve your long-term goals. Through coaching, we’ll work together to get you there. And my success is only achieved through your success. We’ll start by understanding your goals and figuring out what is standing in the way of you meeting those goals.

I think money is a resource that should be a tool for you to achieve your long-term goals.

As a team, we’ll work together to:

  • Create a plan that will get you debt free.
    • How much money do you have, and how much can you put toward paying down debt each month?
    • How long will it take to pay off the debt?
    • How to keep you sane while you’re paying off the debt!
  • Reduce your monthly interest payments
    • We’ll use strategies to reduce your interest payments so more of your money goes to paying off your debt – instead of interest.
  • Create an easy to follow spending plan
    • If you want to track every dollar you make – forever – we can do that. But I think there are easier ways to achieve your goals. We’ll work to make your spending a way to complement your goals and not be a time-suck.
  • Build up a savings cushion.
    • Stuff happens. A savings cushion gives you security and independence – and covers you when that kind of stuff does happen.

Three-Month Coaching Program

We’ll work as a team to figure out what’s most important to you, how you’ll put your money toward those things and develop a step-by-step plan for you to get there.

Monthly Ongoing Coaching

This is designed for those who want to keep working together after the Three-Month Coaching Program. How often we meet will depend on the support you need: weekly, twice a month or once a month.

Hourly Financial Coaching

Need help with something in particular? Aren’t sure you’re ready to commit to an ongoing program? No problem. You can book one-off sessions at an hourly rate of $150/hour.

Are you interested in investing but don’t know where to start? Have you been investing for a while but don’t seem to have gotten anywhere? Here’s the thing: The folks on Wall Street have an interest in making things seem complicated. I’ve been investing for more than 30 years, and I can tell you that while there are a lot of moving parts to finance and investing, the secret to investment success is to learn and remember a few basic rules. Let me just give you a preview: Success is not finding the next hot stock or the latest hot mutual fund. There are several ways to work together for investment education:

Closed Facebook Group

This closed group meets twice a week for four weeks, and a new group starts every month. And let me tell you, I’m pretty sure your stockbroker isn’t going to like this. In this group you’ll learn:

  • Types of investments
  • How to invest
  • What really matters!
  • Diversifying your investments*
  • The low-cost, low-stress road to riches*
  • Investment strategies
  • Next steps
  • You will also receive my Investment You!© guide to investing

*Through this course I will never try to control your money, manage your money or give you specific recommendations for either how to allocate your money (“asset allocation”) or what investments to pick. But after this course you will be better educated and prepared to either manage your own investment life, or if you need more assistance, you’ll be an educated consumer of financial advice.

The cost for this month-long class is $1,400 and participation is limited to 15 people a month.

Investment Retreat

This retreat teaches the same principles as the Closed Facebook Group, but meets in person over the course of a weekend, four times a year, usually in a location in the Colorado mountains.

The cost for this weekend-long Investment Retreat is $1,950, which includes hotel room, breakfast for two days and my Investment You!© guide to investing

Hourly Investment Coaching: Like hourly financial coach, if you need help with something investment-related, you can book one-off investment coaching sessions at an hourly rate of $175/hr.

For us to be able to achieve your goals, we have to be able to work together. That’s why I offer a free 30-minute consultation, to see if we’re a good fit.
